Alas, it is true. Most of our politicians are gutless in the face of the NRA. However I must commend Representative Carolyn McCarthy, (D, NY) and NY City Mayor Michael Bloomberg who both speak out on this issue despite the NRA.
However, I think that the President needn't worry about the political wasteland as he is in his last term in office. So he should just go for actually passing those gun control laws.
