I was present at ordination at one of the first openly-gay priests in TEC (c. 1991). As part of the musical prelude, this great old showgirl-type got up and sang a Bdwy number (don't know the composer), "Say Yes!"
It really set the tone for the whole (gay!) liturgy. Wonderful. And better yet, TRUE. I've never forgotten it.
